As a person of faith I’ve been struggling for years to figure out how to be faithful on a planet racing towards the climate cliff. As a Quaker I know that the world of peace and justice that we seek will never come to pass if we destroy the web of life we depend on.
After many false starts, I finally found something that I could do which takes the problem seriously. In May of 2013 my friend Ken Ward and I blockaded a ship filled with 40,000 tons of coal and stopped a delivery to the biggest source of carbon emissions in New England.
Putting my faith into action commensurate with the problem has been transformative. I am anxious to see where I am led next.- Jay O'Hara, 32, USA
